Luxury Seafood Miso Soup

With New Year’s Eve coming up, it’s time for a splash of luxury. A glass (or two) of Champagne, a scattering of sparkles, lots of laughter, and an indulgent platter of seafood.

We’re changing things up this New Year’s Eve and swapping the blinis, the platters of seafood on ice, for a warm (it’s so cold outside, after all) Miso Tasty soup packed full of our favourite New Year’s Eve treats! This is how to do New Year’s Eve the Miso Tasty way: a Japanese take on the usual end of year traditions. Now is the time for change, after all!

This recipe serves 1, but hopefully you won’t be alone on 31st December. Simply multiply the recipe to make this up for as many people as you’ll be spending the evening with!



1 x Spicy Aka Miso Tasty soup

50g smoked salmon

1/4 lemon

3 cooked prawns

Few chive strands



1. Slice the salmon into thin, bite-size pieces

2. Finely chop the chives

3. Slice the lemon in half

4. Make up the miso soup as per packet instructinos

5. Drop in the salmon and prawns

6. Squeeze the lemon on top and drop in to the soup

7. Scatter the chives over the bowl
