Spicy Pumpkin Miso Soup

Miso Tasty soups are wonderfully warming in these colder, darker months. With this Halloween themed soup, there’s no excuse not to enjoy a miso soup with a few tasty extras for lunch or dinner this autumn!


1 Spicy Aka miso soup
1 egg
1 small pumpkin
Few strands of chives
Black sesame seeds


1.Peel and scoop out the insides of the pumpkin. Chop the flesh into cubes
2. Drizzle with olive oil and chilli flakes and roast in the oven for 30-40 minutes until cooked through
3. When the pumpkin is almost cooked, poach or soft boil the egg
4. Make up Spicy Aka miso soup as per packet instructions
5. Strategically place the black sesame seeds on the egg
6. Add the egg and as much of the pumpkin as you want to eat to the soup
7. Finely chop the chives and scatter them over the top
